Please join the Racine TEA Party…

Balanced Budget Forum

Wednesday, November 9th

7:00 pm

South Hills Country Club

Featured Speaker:  Congressman Paul Ryan

The one issue that ignited the tea party movement was out of control government spending.  Three years later, we are still saying STOP THE SPENDING!   The debt debate is coming to a  head  soon, with the super committee “solution” due November 23rd.
Please join  Congressman Paul Ryan on Wednesday 11/9 for a candid discussion on how to cut the debt, cap spending, and why a balanced budget amendment is essential to accomplishing these goals.  Additional speakers and details TBA.

Racine TEA Party is ready to gear up for the next round of perpetual politics. We have survived almost 3 years of the failed policies of the Obama Administration, and we can finally say November 2012 is almost here!
But first….it looks like there will be more recalls.  The TEA Party worked behind the scenes to keep the right balance in the State Supreme Court and a conservative majority in the State Senate. We rallied in Feburary to Stand with Scott Walker, and we will rally to keep the electorate informed in 2012!  There is work that must be done; we can not rest until we’ve won!

Happy Independence Day!!!

This is a follow-up email to yesterday’s request to walk with the FireFighter float “Parkway Church Youth 9-11 Memorial”. The parade committee is stating that the public can not walk with the float and although it’s not listed on the parade rules page, we will be respectful of the purpose of this symbol of remembrance of our fallen heroes. Since the release of the story in the Milwaukee Journal (links at bottom), people of all stripes are coming together in support of this beautiful tribute. Below is our plan for Monday July 4th:

  • 8:30AM Out of towners meet at Pilot Travel Center Hwy I-94 & Hwy K Exit 329
  • We will lead a caravan to Gould and Main Street area to park (parade map link below) – this is start of parade route
  • 9:00AM meet at start of parade route – anyone there earlier start lining both sides of the street
  • If you have any 9-11 memory items, shirts etc… please wear them
  • We will give a huge send off to the 9-11 Memory float!
  • BREAKING: THE FLOAT WILL BE BACK AT THE ZOO IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PARADE FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO VIEW IT UP CLOSE (FIREFIGHTER MATT GORNIAK WILL BE THERE AS WELL)
  • ONLY UNIFORMED ACTIVE & RETIRED FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE OR MILITARY MAY WALK WITH THE FLOAT. NO POLITICAL SIGNS OR CLOTHING ALLOWED – PER PARADE COMMITTEE

We hope you join Vicki McKenna and us on Monday!

Wisconsin’s future is at a critical turning point. Years of fiscal irresponsibility and unsustainable government spending has put our state in great turmoil. But who will decide our future? Voters such as yourself or self-serving union bosses?

Governor Walker has taken the courageous first step in addressing this grave problem through his common-sense budget reforms. Much is at stake and we must to win. We must stand with Governor Walker to ensure the future of our children and grandchildren is not riddled with debt and unemployment.

Nancy Milholland, of the Racine TEA Party gave the following speech:

Conservatives!!! Tea Party, Reagan Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Republicans

Conservatives…all of us…we are here together to show support to what we know is RIGHT to save our state.

TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already…and we are.

Our Governor Scott Walker gets that!

He understands that he works for all of the taxpayers of WI!

For this I would like to say, thank you Scott Walker. Thank you Scott!!!!

I have been concerned about our Wisconsin. For years now, we have watched as businesses and jobs walked away from our great state.

Everyone here today believes that Wisconsin is in a fiscal crisis!

So to some of those in the media and you know who you are…today we have some news for you!

Stop trying to promote the lie telling us Governor Walker created this crisis.

It’s about time that you know, you are dealing with a new class of voters and we take pride in paying attention, becoming informed and educating others on the FACTS.

There is plenty of information and data, pointing to the budgetary disaster long before Scott Walker even won the primary election.

So with all due respect, PLEASE KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE PROPGANGDA CAMPAINS ALREADY!! They are no longer working.

Wisconsin citizens don’t need anymore misguided policies that take more and more of our money to find new ways to run more and more of our lives.

We need to support ways that keep taxes lower, spending under control, and freedom at a maximum.

We’re tired of politicians who don’t do what they say they are going to do and who have forgotten why and who selected them to serve.

Scott Walker’s Budget Repair Bill tells us that he has kept that in mind and he is keeping his promises to us. Thank you Scott Walker! Thank you Scott!

This is not about me, this is not about you…this is about us.

The Budget Repair bill is bad tasting, but much needed medicine.

The alternative would be poison for thousands of state workers, the taxpayers, and the economic climate in this state.

It’s time FOR US to take the cure and get back to a healthy Wisconsin.

Assembly representative, Gary Tauchen is the one responsible for scheduling this hearing.  We need the leadership of Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald on this as well.  Please do the following:Call Rep. Gary Tauchen, Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, and your Assembly representative TODAY, and respectfully request they schedule a joint hearing on the Voter ID Bill for January 26th.The Senate is moving forward, now it is their turn.  We the People NEED Voter ID NOW, not later. ACTION ALERT! – 1/11/11

PHOTO VOTER ID

We have a new governor and a new legislature in Wisconsin. NOW is the time to pass election reform legislation and it can be done and signed into law before the April 5th election.  Time is of the essence!

CALL YOUR ASSEMBLY REPRESENTATIVE

AND STATE SENATOR TODAY!

  1. Ask them to co-sponsor the Photo Voter I.D. Bill
  2. Urge leadership to schedule joint hearings of both the Senate and the Assembly to expedite the Photo Voter I.D. Bill.
  3. Make it clear to your legislators that you want to have Photo Voter I.D. in place by April 5, 2011.
  4. Explain that other election reforms need to be proposed and passed as soon as possible, but it is important to implement Photo I.D. NOW!

Why the Rush?

In order to have Photo Voter ID in place for the spring elections, the bill must be passed and signed into law by Governor Scott Walker by February 15th. Time must be allotted for the required 30-day public posting of the bill and to give municipalities time to implement it and comply.  The spring elections are very important for the State Supreme Court and local races, and the 2012 Presidential primary is only a year away.  Now is a perfect time to bring Photo Voter I.D. to Wisconsin.

YOU MUST ACT NOW – CALL TODAY

If you do not know the phone # of your legislators you may call the Legislative Hotline:

1-800-362-9472 or click on this link:

The Racine TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party was formed by a group of upset taxpayers that saw where we were headed as a country and said ‘we have had enough!’  We followed the lead of other groups from around the nation and had our 1st TEA’d Off Party on Saturday, April 18, 2009 where just over 300 people came out to express their outrage over the growing government taxation at all levels.  Our second event on January 16th, 2010 had over 4,000 in attendance.
