Here’s how to help:

Why is this JFC hearing important?

There are just a couple Republican Senators who need our extra support to pass this critical budget fix.  This bill will not only solve a substantial amount of the current fiscal year deficit but its passage is critical to making the next budget solvent.  The capitol will be stormed on Tuesday by thousands of purple shirts and thousands of teachers who have left WI classrooms to ensure that their pockets are full.  The Joint Finance Committee will only hear from them unless we attend and show our support.  The hearing is on Tuesday but the JFC is expected to vote as soon as Wednesday.

When and Where is the JFC Hearing?

The JFC Hearing will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 15th.  Bus transportation is expected to depart from Madison around 12:30-1:00pm, so there is plenty of time to vote in the evening.

Location: JFC Committee Room 412 East of the WI State Capitol

How many people need to attend?

It will be critical for the committee to hear from 30-50 taxpayers.  The more the merrier.

Let’s remember this is not personal or an attack on union workers; they are not our enemies. It’s basic economics… let’s all work together towards the solution.
